Evolve Launch Events

Built a Scalable Engine to Differentiate Through Product Innovation

THE NEED

At Gainsight, we had no shortage of innovation. But we lacked a scalable way to consistently bring that innovation to market.

Our annual Pulse event generated significant excitement and momentum, especially around major product announcements. But with only one tentpole moment per year, that momentum quickly faded. Meanwhile, we were shipping new capabilities at a rapid pace, making it difficult for customers to stay up-to-date and fully leverage the platform.

At the same time, increased competition was creating noise and confusion in the market. Without a consistent drumbeat of product storytelling, we risked losing control of the narrative around our leadership and vision.

We needed a way to:

  • Sustain market momentum beyond a single annual event
  • Clearly communicate ongoing innovation in a crowded space
  • Help customers continuously adopt and realize value from new capabilities

THE STRATEGY

To address this, I led the creation of Evolve: a quarterly, keynote-style product launch series designed to scale how we told our product story.

We built Evolve as a repeatable launch engine, not just a one-off program. Each quarter, we:

  • Hosted a live-streamed event featuring product leadership and product marketing
  • Delivered a compelling narrative anchored in our product vision and market perspective
  • Paired that narrative with high-impact demos showcasing new capabilities across the platform
  • Created a consistent, polished keynote experience to mirror the energy and credibility of Pulse

This approach allowed us to turn continuous product delivery into continuous market moments to keep both prospects and customers engaged with a steady cadence of innovation.

RESULTS

Evolve fundamentally changed how Gainsight brought products to market.

  • Sustained market relevance: We established a consistent presence in the market, reinforcing our leadership and keeping Gainsight top-of-mind between major events
  • Stronger differentiation: By clearly and consistently showcasing innovation, we cut through competitive noise and shaped the narrative around our platform
  • Improved customer adoption: Customers had a reliable way to stay current on new capabilities, accelerating their ability to adopt and realize value
  • Scalable GTM motion: We transformed product launches from ad hoc efforts into a repeatable, high-impact engine for engagement, education, and growth

Evolve became more than an event series—it became a core part of how we differentiated through product innovation at scale.
